- •A solicitor-client relationship
- •A fiduciary legal advisory relationship
The Service Provider does not act for either party individually and does not represent either party in any court, tribunal, or legal proceeding.
3 Independent Legal Advice (ILA)
Each party is strongly encouraged to obtain independent legal advice from a licensed lawyer prior to signing any separation agreement.
Important: Failure to obtain independent legal advice may affect enforceability in some jurisdictions.
The Service Provider:

- •Does not guarantee court acceptance
4 Client Responsibility
Clients are solely responsible for:

The Service Provider relies entirely on information supplied by the parties and does not independently verify financial data.

Nothing provided should be interpreted as:
- •Legal advice

Clients seeking legal advice must consult a licensed lawyer in their province.
6 Mediation Neutrality
Where mediation services are provided:

All decisions remain with the parties.
7 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
The Service Provider shall not be liable for:
- •Legal consequences arising from the agreement
- •Tax implications
- •Court rejection or modification
- •Errors resulting from inaccurate client disclosure
- •Future disputes between parties
Total liability, if any, shall not exceed the total fees paid for the specific drafting service.
8 No Guarantee of Enforceability
Enforceability of separation agreements depends on:
- •Full financial disclosure
- •Voluntary execution
- •Independent legal advice
- •Provincial statutory requirements
- •Judicial discretion
The Service Provider makes no guarantees regarding enforceability in any province.
9 Jurisdiction
Services are offered to residents of common law Canadian provinces.
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
